About
About Celeste Fernandez
I have a lifelong passion for aquatics, with experience as both a competitive swimmer and water polo player throughout high school and for two years at the collegiate level. My background in these sports has given me a strong foundation in technique, endurance, and water safety. I began my aquatic career in high school as a Junior Lifeguard, where I developed essential safety and rescue skills. After graduating, I continued working as a lifeguard with the YMCA, as well as providing lifeguard services for private events. These experiences strengthened my ability to maintain a safe and supportive environment for swimmers of all ages. During the summer following my first year of college, I began teaching swim lessons at the YMCA and at my college. Since then, I have worked with a wide range of swimmers—from “mommy and me” classes for toddlers to more advanced, competitive-level instruction focused on stroke technique and form. I am First Aid and CPR certified and am dedicated to creating a positive, encouraging, and safe learning environment where each swimmer can build confidence, improve their skills, and develop a lifelong comfort in the water.
