Maureen Richmond

M‍aureen’s connection to the water began at the Jersey Shore, where swimming was a major party of her ‍life from a young age. What started as a childhood love for the water grew into a lifelong passion for swimming, water safety, and helping others build confidence in and around the water.

Over the years, Maureen has coached swimmers ranging from beginners gaining confidence in the water to athletes competing in Special Olympics, YMCA Championships, and USA Swimming Junior Olympics. Her teaching style combines technical skill development with patience, encouragement, and a strong focus on safety.

As a mom of four who raised her family in the Mainland community, Maureen understands firsthand the trust families place in swim instructors. Her mission is to help every swimmer build confidence, respect the water, and develop the skills they need to stay safe - while fostering a lifelong love of swimming.
