About
About Maddie Slattery
Swimming has been a part of Maddie’s life from the very beginning. She started in the water as an infant and began competitive swimming at the age of six under the guidance of Coach Alicia. Over the years, her love for the sport continued to grow, shaping both her confidence and dedication in and around the water.
Maddie recently graduated from Mainland Regional High School, where she was a four-year varsity swimmer. During her high school career, she was a key contributor to Mainland’s South Jersey Championship team and served as co-captain during her senior season. Her years as a competitive swimmer have given her valuable experience, discipline, and a strong understanding of proper swim technique.
Coming from a large family with more than 30 first cousins, Maddie has spent her life surrounded by children of all ages. Her natural ability to connect with young swimmers, combined with her patient and encouraging personality, helps create a positive learning environment where children can build confidence and develop important water safety skills.
This summer, Maddie will begin her fourth season as a lifeguard with Margate City Beach Patrol. Her experience as both a competitive swimmer and ocean lifeguard reflects her commitment to water safety, and she is excited to help the next generation of swimmers learn, grow, and feel confident in the water.
