About Kristina
My name is Kristina and I'm the founder of Kourtney's Kause; a 501c3 nonprofit organization. This organization was founded in loving memory of my 3 year old daughter, Kourtney, who passed away in 2017 due to a fatal drowning accident. Honoring our daughter’s memory has made drowning prevention and water safety our life’s mission. We never want another family to endure what we have.

As a certified self-rescue swim instructor since 2020, I teach young children and toddlers essential skills to save themselves if they ever access water unattended. My husband and I also own Life Saver Pool Fence South Bay.
In addition to managing the back end of Kourtney's Kause and providing in-water instruction, I work a full-time job at a local hospital as an Application Analyst for our electronic charting system. Over my 20-year tenure, I've worked various roles in the hospital, including being a bedside nurse. I am fortunate enough to be able to now work from home full time, which allows me to also be able to teach lessons in the evenings.
